# Punchcard

> Punchcard is a macOS menu bar time tracker that pushes time entries straight into Xero Projects through Xero's official API. Xero Projects stays the single source of truth: there is no separate Punchcard database or server. Two licences: Standard (fast manual timer) and Pro (adds auto-tracking suggestions). Status: pre-release, Mac waitlist open; Windows version in development, released after Mac.

- [Punchcard vs Xero Projects' built-in timer](https://punchcard-site-rho.vercel.app/compare/xero-projects-timer-alternative): Xero's timer lives in a browser tab or the mobile app. Punchcard puts it in your Mac menu bar and still writes every entry into Xero Projects.
- [Punchcard vs Toggl Track](https://punchcard-site-rho.vercel.app/compare/toggl-xero-alternative): Toggl's Xero integration keeps your hours in Toggl. Punchcard pushes every entry into Xero Projects, so Xero stays your one record of time.
- [Punchcard vs Harvest](https://punchcard-site-rho.vercel.app/compare/harvest-xero-alternative): Harvest sends invoices to Xero, not time entries. If you bill from Xero Projects, Punchcard pushes your hours straight onto its tasks.
